Aneeq Abrahams

Aneeq Abrahams is the Finance and Operations Manager at CILT,  with a strong background in finance and operations. Aneeq brings over a decade of experience in higher education administration, complemented by seven years in commercial banking at leading institutions such as Nedbank and Absa.  

Since joining UCT in 2012, Aneeq has held finance roles across multiple faculties, beginning in the Finance Department of the Commerce Faculty before transitioning to the Science Faculty. His expertise and leadership later earned him the position of Assistant Finance Manager in the Law Faculty, where he honed his strategic financial management skills.  

Beyond his professional achievements, Aneeq is a passionate sports enthusiast and a talented sports commentator. He lends his voice to weekend sports broadcasts and recently had the honour of commentating for SuperSport during the Over-40’s World Cup held in Cape Town in 2024. His dynamic blend of financial acumen and operational leadership, and his enthusiasm for sports, makes him a valued member of the CILT team and the UCT community.
