Aneeq Abrahams
Aneeq is responsible for the financial management and operational oversight of CILT. His role includes budgeting, financial planning and reporting, compliance, procurement, and operational support to ensure the efficient functioning of the Centre. He works closely with CILT leadership and UCT central finance to support sound financial decision-making and sustainable use of resources in support of teaching and learning innovation.

Aneeq brings over a decade of experience in higher education administration, alongside seven years of commercial banking experience at institutions such as Nedbank and Absa. Since joining UCT in 2012, he has held finance roles across the Commerce, Science, and Law Faculties, including serving as Assistant Finance Manager in the Law Faculty. His expertise spans strategic financial management, operational leadership, and institutional finance within a complex university environment, making him a key support resource for CILT’s mandate and strategic objectives.
