Shaqeel Less
Shaqeel is an Educational Technologist at UCT, where he supports and manages institutional systems that enable teaching and learning. His work focuses on ensuring the effective use of learning technologies, including Amathuba, and supporting course delivery through technical guidance and system optimisation.
He is involved in the coordination and support of lecture recording services, working with stakeholders to ensure the reliable capture and accessibility of teaching content. He also collaborates with Classroom Support Services to support lecture venue readiness, including the setup, maintenance and optimisation of audiovisual systems for in-person and hybrid learning environments.

Shaqeel brings experience across higher education and the property technology sector, and has contributed to large-scale digital initiatives, including the migration of websites to Drupal. He holds a qualification in Business Analysis and is an alumnus of the Future Innovation Lab at the University of the Western Cape. He is also the founder of two startups focused on scalable, technology-driven solutions to address social challenges.
