Lynn Chambers

Lecturer

Lynn supports the academic development of staff at UCT through the coordination, implementation and ongoing evaluation of the CILT Events Programme. She teaches on CILT’s short courses and postgraduate programmes, with a focus on digital education, and contributes to institutional conversations on teaching and learning as an active member of UCT’s AI in Education Community of Practice.

Her work spans workshop and webinar facilitation, online and blended learning, AI in teaching and assessment, and inclusive, socially just and responsive pedagogies. She works closely with academic staff to support reflective, participatory and critically engaged approaches to teaching and learning in higher education.

With 15 years of experience across a range of educational contexts, including three higher education institutions in South Africa, Lynn has received multiple Lecturer of the Year awards in recognition of her undergraduate teaching. Her academic and professional work is grounded in a commitment to socially just pedagogies and meaningful participation in higher education.

Lynn holds a Master’s degree in Education from the University of Cape Town and is currently completing a PhD focused on reconfiguring teaching and learning in South African higher education in the age of artificial intelligence through a posthumanist lens.
