Diann Selman

Learning Designer

Diann is a Learning Designer at CILT, specialising in Blended Learning Design in the CHL team, where she supports the development of accessible, inclusive and high-quality blended and online learning experiences. She works closely with academic staff and subject matter experts to translate learning needs into coherent course designs, from initial scoping and curriculum alignment through to course build, quality assurance and post-launch support.

Her practice draws on established course and curriculum design methodologies and pedagogical frameworks, with a focus on constructive alignment, student-centred design and inclusive teaching approaches. She is particularly committed to advancing accessibility, equity and meaningful learning experiences across diverse educational contexts.

Diann holds a Master’s degree from the University of Cape Town and brings a background in teaching and academic support roles, including tutoring, course convening and facilitation. Her professional interests include inclusive digital learning design, translanguaging, educational technology, and the ethical integration of artificial intelligence in higher education.
