The Data Analytics for Student Success (DASS) project team launched the Know Your Students / Know Your Course (KYS/KYC) report in 2021, since the introduction the reports have seen several iterations, updates, and improvements.
Participants will learn how to read and interpret the KYS/KYC reports, using a couple of courses as cases, by reflecting on what we can learn about students’ needs of a particular cohort based on these artefacts and the implications for learning and teaching in those contexts. The webinar aims to assist participants in putting diagnostic information found in these reports – specifically the NBT Subdomain Analyses and NBT Relative Importance Analysis – into conversation with curriculum. The session will focus on using the student profile, drawn from diagnostic information, as a basis for the development of curriculum interventions, changes in the curriculum itself, or even, pedagogy.
