Lara Karassellos

Lara is a Learning Design Consultant at CILT, where she supports teaching and learning through a combination of learning design, coordination, research and academic development. She works with academic staff across the university to enhance course design and address teaching challenges in blended and online environments.

She provides support through workshops, one-on-one consultations and extended collaborations, focusing on areas such as AI in education, inclusive pedagogies, Amathuba, and the effective selection and use of learning technologies.

Lara has over a decade of experience in educational technology and higher education. She completed a DPhil in Education in 2024, with research focused on South African higher education. Her interests include online and blended pedagogy, widening participation, AI literacies and tutor development.
