Dr Greig Krull

Senior Lecturer

Greig Krull is an Academic Staff Developer and Senior Lecturer at CILT at the University of Cape Town. He supports academic staff around post-digital education including blended and online learning strategies, AI integration, assessment, facilitation, and learning analytics. He engages with academic staff throughworkshop and webinar facilitation, curriculum design and review as well as consultations. He teaches on the School of Education’s postgraduate diploma and master’s in educational technology as well as the postgraduate diploma in Blended and Online Learning Design (BOLD) and several short courses. He also supervises postgraduate students in this area. His current research focuses on academic staff development for designing blended and online learning in higher education, with a particular focus on academic professional learning and the use of data analytics to inform learning design and facilitation. 

He holds a PhD in Education and ICT (eLearning) from the Open University of Catalonia (Spain) and an MCom (Information Systems) from Rhodes University. He is currently co-Deputy Chairperson of the Higher Education Learning and Teaching Association of Southern Africa (HELTASA) and a member of the International Advisory Board for the International Journal of Educational Technology in Higher Education.
