Course Development Manager
Janet is currently the manager of the learning design unit. Janet's experience in educational design is wide ranging - for different learners, various contexts and modes of provision (face-to-face, blended and online). She has a masters degree in adult education and is passionate about widening access to education and creating the most effective opportunities for learning. She leads the Redesigning Blended Courses Project which aims to integrate the principles of Universal Design for Learning (UDL) into models of blended learning. With other CILT colleagues, she set up and ran the UCT MOOCs project which created 23 Massive Open Online Courses between 2015- 2019. She has been part of a CHED research team exploring the value MOOC-takers living in Africa have found in open online courses.
