Senior Learning Technologies Consultant

Lubabalo is a member of the Learning Technologies Team, and he is responsible for promoting, managing and providing support on a range of Educational Technologies used in enhancing the Teaching and Learning experience for both staff and students. He is also responsible for organising and facilitating training workshops for staff and students on the use of Learning Management Portal and other supported applications. Lubabalo is also responsible for providing just in time support (telephonic and email). 

Lubabalo has a keen interest in Online Assessment, Lecture Recording, Adaptive and Personalised Learning.

  • General queries on the Remote Online Assessment Setup, Turnitin, Amathuba; Lecture recording, Gradescope. 
  • Support and Consultation on the use and integration of technology in Teaching and Learning. 
  • Workshop Facilitation on Amathuba; Turnitin; Gradescope and other supported applications. 

Lubabalo holds a Bachelor and Honours degree in Information Systems from the University of the Western Cape. He has over 15 years of experience in the Educational Technologies space, specifically in managing applications and providing user support. Some of the key contributions, Lubabalo serves on a few Faculty Committees with CHED and wider UCT, i.e. Language Policy Committee. He also participated in the UCT Learning Platforms Update Project, specifically in the selection and implementation of a Learning Management System (LMS, Amathuba)
