Amathuba Essentials

Build confidence in designing, facilitating, and assessing your modules on UCT’s Learning Management System, Amathuba. Over five days, you’ll get a practical walk‑through with hands‑on tasks you can immediately apply to a live course site or sandbox site.

You’ll learn to:

  • Set up a welcoming, accessible home page
  • Import sites and add files
  • Manage participant roles
  • Configure the Gradebook
  • Create assignments and quizzes
  • Facilitate discussion forums
  • Use learning analytics to support student success
  • Streamline grading and feedback

Format & Time: Asynchronous,1.5-2 hours a day for 5 days. 

There will be two synchronous 1-hour sessions on Monday 13 July and Friday 17 July (13:00 – 14:00).

Audience: Lecturers and PASS staff new to Amathuba or seeking a refresher.
