Online Learning Environments Developer

Nosipho Mali is an Online Learning Environments Developer at CILT, where she contributes to the design, development, and support of digital platforms that enhance teaching and learning. Her work focuses on improving, maintaining, and enhancing online learning environments such as Amathuba (Brightspace), with an emphasis on usability, functionality, and creating more accessible and user-friendly learning experiences. A key part of her work involves supporting work related to lecture recording, captioning, and transcription services, helping improve accessibility and inclusivity within the digital learning environment.

She joined CILT as a junior developer in June 2019, following her role at the Animal Demography Unit in the Biological Sciences Department, where she worked as a Junior PHP Developer and Data Technician. In that role, she gained experience working with a range of technologies and contributed to the development of information platforms that support data access and management for research organisations, researchers, and citizen scientists.

Nosipho holds a BCom Honours degree in Information Systems, as well as a BTech degree in Information Technology (Software Development). She enjoys building intuitive, user-friendly applications, exploring new technologies, and developing systems that meaningfully support teaching and learning.
