Mpumzi Rozani
Mpumzi supports multimedia production and digital learning initiatives at CILT, contributing to the development of high-quality video and digital media for teaching and learning. His work focuses on translating academic and educational content into engaging, accessible and visually effective media that supports blended and online learning experiences.
He works closely with academic and CILT teams across the production process, supporting pre-production, recording, camera operation, studio and on-location production, presenter support, video editing and post-production. His role also involves exploring and applying Generative AI and emerging digital technologies to support creative development, visual storytelling, content enhancement and more efficient media production workflows.

Mpumzi has a background in film and television production, multimedia, video editing and technical media production, with practical experience across camera operation, live production, vision mixing, audio support and post-production. At CILT, he brings this production experience into the higher-education environment, supporting the creation of engaging and pedagogically relevant media for teaching and learning.
His work also includes exploring Generative AI tools and AI-assisted production workflows, including AI-generated visual content, creative development, video enhancement and experimental approaches to digital storytelling. He is interested in finding practical and responsible ways to integrate emerging AI technologies with established media-production practices to enhance the quality, efficiency and creative possibilities of educational content.
Through his role at CILT, Mpumzi contributes to the evolving use of video, multimedia and Generative AI in higher education, supporting academic staff and production teams in developing effective digital learning experiences.
